There's nothing more exciting than seeing a design and vision perfectly executed by local talent. North Canterbury building company 'Gareth Davis Builders' were tasked with bringing this Barry Connor Design 'modern kiwi bach' to life. A collaboration involving a whole lot of love and skill, and one that has seen the finished product featured on archipro.co.nz, and win the 'Resene in Design Colour Award' at the ADNZ Awards. 

To come up with a modern beach home design that blended seamlessly with its surroundings in Waikuku beach required an experienced team. The end result is an impressive two story, three bedroom home with hand cut pitched rafters, engineered oak flooring, and carefully crafted vertical timber slat features through the entrance way. 

Our Dakota Tiles feature throughout the home, with our Cloudy Bay design in the bathroom on the floor and walls, and a white gloss subway feature tile in the shower and kitchen splash back.   Waikuku Beach local, Nathan Wilkie from Down to Earth Tiling completed the tile work to an immaculate level. Kristen Reid Design manage the kitchen's style and layout which fits seamlessly with the overall look of the property.  

This home is an outstanding example of a local builder working collaboratively with a designer and client for the perfect outcome. It was pleasure to be included in helping bring to life this dream abode.
